Hello! My name is Cody and I build software.

I joined Meltano as a senior software engineer a few years ago after getting involved with the Meltano open source project, and moved from an individual contributor to management and now Head of Engineering. As Head of Engineering at a startup, my experience has been both broad and deep, organizational and full-stack technical. I've done everything from developing and running our engineering hiring process, developing our first AI features from idea to prototype all the way to production, writing code that spans Pulumi IAC to Helm charts to LangGraph agents to Tailwind-based React components in our NextJS frontend.

Before joining Arch, I worked as a data engineer first at Arrive and then at Sprout Social where I built and operated complex data platforms and productionized ML models that powered both internal analytics and data science use cases as well as customer-facing features.

I've contributed to various open source data integration projects, primarily in the Meltano ecosystem. I've built Singer taps for extracting data from Socrata open data APIs and the ServiceTitan API, and contributed to the Meltano core project.
